Tuuli Cloud onboarding for self-service Managed Private Cloud

Tuuli Cloud is a flexible, high performance cloud environment based on Openstack Technology. Formerly known as Datalounges Cloud, we wanted to separate Tuuli as a standalone platform and it provides full featured virtual Infrastructure-as-a-Service environments. What sets Tuuli apart is that we give you, the customer, full control over your environment and we set very few hard limits on the base environments.

For example, some of these points are enabled and provided to you by default: Networking, your virtual network infrastructure can be whatever you design it to be with routers, load balancers and networks available for your usage

Public IPs: We assign you the public IPs you ordered, what you do with them and which machines you actually make reachable from the Internet is up to you.

Custom Security rules: We allow you to configure your security rules restricting access to different services as you see fit, even inside your virtual environment. This way you can replicate real life scenarios.

This includes:

  • custom Protocol definitions
  • custom source and destination addresses
  • custom destination ports or port range(s)

In short, Tuuli Cloud allows you to move into the cloud with ease allowing you to have the least impact in your ongoing operations.

To enable you to do all this, we put you through a process called onboarding. So how does onboarding work? Onboarding is a process for customers who want to have their own self-service interface to Tuuli Cloud. It is some preparations, an half a day workshop and then access to materials and support to make sure you have help available when you need it:

  • introduction, short overview of what have been agreed and how we will proceed
  • general overview of Openstack self-service management interface

  • what is needed to know about networks
  • how do backups work
  • how to access support and what does support consist of
  • general overview of R4DAR
  • how to access R4DAR
